Architecture NEEDs Imagination
001
Becoming
This drawing emerged without a predetermined destination. Like many journeys in life, its form revealed itself gradually through observation, intuition, and response. What began as a simple mark evolved into a landscape of relationships—between movement and stillness, structure and freedom, memory and imagination.
The flowing form at the center suggests a path in continuous transformation. It bends, rises, and reconnects, creating moments of tension and release, much like human experience itself. Around it, traces of landscape, vegetation, light, and terrain appear not as literal representations but as fragments of remembered places. Together they form a world that feels familiar yet cannot be located on any map.
As an architect, I am fascinated by the spaces that exist before buildings are defined—the moments when ideas remain fluid and possibility is greater than certainty. This work inhabits that territory. It is neither architecture nor landscape, but a meeting point between the two. A place imagined rather than constructed.
The drawing invites viewers to bring their own experiences to the work. Some may see a journey, others a shelter, a memory, a garden, or an unfolding narrative. There is no single interpretation. The meaning continues to evolve through the act of viewing.
At its core, the artwork reflects a simple belief: the most meaningful places are often discovered rather than planned. They emerge through experience, curiosity, and imagination.
Architecture needs imagination before it becomes reality.
